The Devil - Tarot

The Devil does not represent evil, but rather energy that has been repressed, misunderstood, or misused. It is the raw life force — instinct, sexuality, desire, imagination — that society, religion, or the ego often demonize. When these forces are denied, they appear as the “Devil.” When they are accepted consciously, they become creative power. The Devil is the energy of the unconscious. To deny it is to give it power over you The Devil is the sacred shadow. When you look at it without fear, it stops being the Devil — and becomes pure creative power.
