I was born and raised in Kerala, India. My creative and professional career started in Bangalore where I did my Degree in Business Management and Marketing and initialised my career working as a video editor/photographer.
Over the years, I have honed my skills as a Video Editor, Photographer, Videographer and Lighting Technician with close to 15 years of experience and have applied these skills and worked in multiple countries with highly varied demography and artistic expressions
My artistic practice in London involves making surrealist art using a blend of Photography/ video and digital manipulation. The surrealistic nature of my work comes from my struggles/ reflections of being a migrant born and raised in an entirely different reality from the lives and relationships that people have over here in the West.
Over the past couple of years, I have been working on projects based on Ethnographic Conservation and Cultural Storytelling, organising exhibitions and events based on ancient cultures, traditions and heritage whose innate wisdom, history and value systems have been replaced and contorted by the narratives of the colonisers. With a major focus on how ancient wisdom can be adapted to the modern world, regardless of what culture or ethnicity you may belong to.
